any green – belgium

Category: Large Indoor Greenery

For EG, we designed a bold green zone at the heart of their new office space.

In the central reception area, we created a sculptural indoor garden where moss, living and artificial plants blend harmoniously. This lush installation flows seamlessly into a built-in bench and reception desk, forming an organic anchor point within the building. But it’s more than just a visual statement — this green island is multifunctional. It invites people to sit, meet and pause. A discreet meeting nook is integrated into the design, offering a moment of privacy within the open space. The garden also helps structure the interior layout, subtly delineating zones while preserving openness and connection.

Designing this indoor garden came with a set of challenges. The irregular shapes and limited natural light made conventional planting methods unfeasible. Full waterproofing of the large planter was not an option, as the client was concerned about potential leakage. We responded with a layered, creative solution: a mix of preserved moss and integrated modular planters. In areas where living plants couldn’t thrive, we introduced high-quality artificial greenery. Because the majority of the installation features real plants, the overall effect is so cohesive that visitors perceive it all as living and breathing.

Elsewhere in the office, nature also takes centre stage in a variety of thoughtful ways. Between workstations, we placed greenery atop room dividers – adding privacy and noticeably improving air quality. Plants and pots from their previous office were carefully restored and reintegrated, in line with our conscious approach to circular and sustainable design.

In the cafeteria, we installed a suspended ceiling module above the kitchen island, complemented by built-in planters throughout the space.

The greenery becomes part of the architecture – continuous, effortless, and cohesive. EG didn’t just opt for plants. They chose a layered ecosystem – a work environment where nature isn’t an afterthought, but the common thread.
