Our client, Hines, approached us with a request for a cost-effective, space-saving, and low-maintenance greening solution that would brighten up the dreary view of the gray across the street. The vertical greening idea “The Hanging Gardens” was quickly born.
For this project, plant cubes made of recycled plastic were painted an attractive olive gray. These were installed at eye level to provide employees with a fresh, green view during their daily work. The vertical wall planting runs consistently throughout the entire office floor like a green companion, creating a green-framed view of the outdoors from various perspectives.
When greening the work areas at Hines, special attention was paid to sustainability. Robust and low-maintenance plants were selected for the planting, which can be easily cared for by employees.
The goal is to create a green, pleasant, and environmentally friendly work environment that is both visually appealing and practical to maintain. This concept is easily scalable and combines sustainability, aesthetics and functionality, helping to make the working environment more lively and pleasant.
