les jardins de gally – france

Category: Small but Mighty

As part of the complete rehabilitation of the built block located at 10 rue de Madrid in Paris, intended to accommodate the future headquarters of Covivio, indoor greening has emerged as a common thread of the transformation project.

Thought in synergy with the interior design signed by Maison Sarah Lavoine, it fully integrates into the overall architectural vision, serving the comfort, well-being and performance of employees.

This project to reinvent a tertiary building was based on a dual ambition: to offer spaces that are both warm and premium, like the great hotels, and to create a living plant environment, conducive to relaxation, concentration and conviviality. From the reception to the terraces, including meeting rooms, dining areas or tea rooms, each place has been designed as a breath, a moment of nature in the heart of the city.

The choice of plants was oriented towards an entirely natural collection, rigorously selected for its aesthetic and adaptive qualities. It is integrated into handmade pots and pottery crafted by Anne-Sophie Bernaert (ceramist in Île-de-France), directly related to the inspiration of the project: raw and noble materials, such as wood, concrete or terracotta, in a palette of sober and natural hues.

This coherence between plant, container and decor contributes to the sensory richness of places. The terraces located at R+2, R+7 and the rooftop offer an outdoor extension to this vegetal experience, promoting hybrid uses between work and break, in a soothing setting. The entire layout relies on a smooth flow between spaces, where vegetation is never decorative but always integrated into the project of use and architectural language.

Thought as a true fertile painting, this project stages nature in its diversity, as a lever for the transformation of work environments. Far from a simple dressing, greening acts here as an essential component of contemporary hospitality, at the crossroads of design, comfort and ecology.
