Advance Plants – Australia

Category: Green Interior

Major renovations at the Gold Coast Marriott resort late in 2020, saw this rebranded to JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa.

Advance Plants won the indoor plant tender through Shape, a large construction company that was in charge of delivering the upgrades to this luxury brand.

The 35-million-dollar refurbishment had indoor plants featuring heavily throughout the public spaces.

Advance worked closely with DBI Designs, the resorts original architect and designers, and Shape, to deliver a photo worthy display of plants that had staff, guests and media appreciating the powerful impact the high levels of greenery made to this luxury resort.

Tropical plant species in custom made joinery, clusters of pots and sub-tropical plants with some very large feature plants, made this a design to be talked about and featured on social media sites.

Plants were installed into; the main foyer, porte cochere, level one public space and conference area, Misono Japanese Restaurant, Citrique restaurant and C&V (Chapter and Verse).

Plants include: trailing pothos, rhaphis, monstera, strelitzia nicolai, peace lillies, kentia palm, philodendron, fiddle leaf figs, jades and more.
