les jardins de gally – france

Category: Small but Mighty

This project is part of a major transformation of work environments. The teams, previously based in individual offices in Paris (Saint-Lazare), have moved into a 100% open-plan space in the heart of the La Défense district.

The challenge was twofold: to support this profound cultural change while structuring a large open-plan space using the power of plants. To meet these challenges, we worked with an architect who designed an immersive plant display combining aesthetics, functionality, and well-being.

The space was punctuated with planters arranged in such a way as to naturally delineate areas while promoting fluid circulation. Plants on the ground punctuate the walkways, bringing life and breath to everyday journeys.

At the heart of the design is a large central planter bench, a veritable green oasis, designed as a place for people to meet and socialize. Employees can gather there, relax, and chat in a soothing green setting, halfway between nature and design. This green heart acts as a strong visual anchor, bringing people together and creating a lively atmosphere.

Each composition has been designed to create a soft and enveloping atmosphere, while meeting the technical constraints of the space (lighting, maintenance, use). Here, plants become a true interior design tool: they structure, enliven, soften, and humanize the space. This project demonstrates how a controlled approach to greening can transform a space, accompany change, and enrich the daily experience of users.
