Ambiance Florale Paris – France

Category: Artificial Green

A shopping mall is both a workplace for many employees and a consumer space for its customers. It is a real microcosm that must comply with the essential needs of all its users in creating a harmonious space where the well-being of everyone is paramount.

It is around this “green” concept that Ylium , located in Les Sables d’Olonne, France, has renovated its shopping arcade with a strong accent on plants and environmentally friendly constructions.

To create this project in the Mall, Ylium entrusted this challenge to architect Christophe Protat, Ambiance Florale Paris and GreenGeorges as a team to generate a green flow reminiscent of the characteristic landscapes of the Vendéen coast in France.

Under a huge glass roof, ten reconstituted umbrella pines each 6 meters tall have been installed in custom-moulded sand dunes created with resin that are reminiscent of beaches swept by sea spray. The trees, made from natural trunks and branches were fireproofed and set with artificial pine sprays, then staged on a wave of 800 polyethylene and tergal grasses, including 10 different varieties ranging from 30 to 150cm in height.

This contemporary 420m² layout plunges its users into a refined universe where light traverses the space.
The decor is set, the atmosphere is peaceful ….. welcome to the new world of Ylium.
